Mobile Device ParingConnect the pocket Ethernet tester with your mobile device to discover detailed information on:
– Name of the port
– Name of the nearest switch, port number, and link speed
– Power over Ethernet (PoE) voltage
– DHCP server, DNS server, and gateway address information
– Model specifics
– Server address details
Speed & Duplex TestingThe network Ethernet tester is capable of testing the actual link speed against the advertised speed of a switch. Initially, the Link Test LED will turn yellow, indicating a warning. Subsequently, in-depth test results can be obtained via Link-Live, which will illustrate the advertised speed versus the actual link speed when a Gigabit Switch port is only capable of linking at 100 Mbps.
Connection failures may be caused by an open, short, or split pair. Using the LinkSprinter, users can further troubleshoot the problem by performing a cable test.
LinkSprinter Team PacksThe LinkSprinter was designed to function as a tool that allows organizations to improve their efficiency in identifying problems and escalating trouble tickets, from the PC help desk on up.
Provide your entire staff with this Ethernet testing tool – Team packs are available in quantities of 5 or 10 units at a discounted price (for more details, refer to Models & Accessories).
Note: LinkSprinter holster is sold separately.
Flash Light on Switch PortUse LinkSprinter to verify the connection path between the jack location and the switch port. By analyzing the CDP/LLDP packet from the switch, the pocket Ethernet tester can identify the switch’s name and port number. The tester has the capability to flash the link light on its connected switch port, thereby allowing users to trace the complete path of the connection.
- Discover the nearest switch name and port information via CDP/LLDP/EDP, and check link speed/duplex and connection to TCP/IP networks
- Verify the Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) voltage from power sources in line with the 802.3af/at standards
- View test results, add notes, and run cable tests with your mobile device using a WiFi hotspot in the LinkSprinter
- Automate reporting and enable collaboration with upload and management test results via Link-Live™
