SMALL, COMPACT FULL-DUPLEX GIGABIT TROUBLESHOOTING AND FIELD TESTING The USR Portable Gigabit Ethernet Aggregation TAP with USB monitoring provides a compact and convenient tool for field testing and troubleshooting that easily fits with your laptop into a carrying case or backpack. Don’t worry about a bulky power supply, this TAP is powered over USB 3.0 from your laptop. Quickly install, observe, and monitor 100% of your Ethernet network traffic between two devices, while maintaining invisibility and eliminating SPAN port contention, oversubscription, and configuration errors. The highly efficient portable TAP faultlessly combines and processes both the TX and RX streams of data into a single data stream, allowing any connected monitoring device (analyzer, IDS, probe) to receive a 2Gbps stream of full-duplex data over a USB 3.0 connection. Normally powered over USB 3.0, the TAP can also use a USR VersaPower TAP external power supply if your laptop has older USB ports. The TAP passes PoE between the connected devices, so monitoring Power Over Ethernet networks is no problem. Wide compatibility with Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems creates a flexible network monitoring solution that provides portable, reliable access to your Gigabit Ethernet segments.
