DESCANT notebooks are a multi-format, two-column music tool that combine traditional music manuscript paper with ruled notebook paper. Simple yet effective, this concept was developed by a Manhattan School of Music undergraduate to more efficiently organize theory notes and new ideas while orchestrating compositions in development. This multi-format notebook can help anyone streamline notes, organize sketches, coordinate arrangements and methodically construct scores. In addition to being an efficient composing and arranging tool for professional musicians and artists, the DESCANT notebook is also a fantastic teaching and learning tool for intermediate students and beginners.
