This cable is designed to connect a DisplayPort® monitor to an HDMI® video source, such as that of a Blu-ray Disc™ player, video game console, Apple TV®, or laptop computer. It complies with the DisplayPort 1.2a standard, which provides up to 21.6 Gbps and support for video resolutions up to 4K@60Hz. The DisplayPort connector features the standard mechanical latch to lock the cable connector to the panel connector. Note that this cable is NOT bidirectional. It only converts HDMI signals to a DisplayPort signal for use with a DisplayPort monitor or video connectivity device, such as a matrix, splitter, or switch.
